This week I head out for Christmas Jam in Asheville. Should be a great weekend. I get to hang out with lots of friends like Velvet Truckstop, Backyard Tire Fire, Geoff, Jay, Dino, Alison and so many others. Plus a ton of great music. Anyway this weeks post is from Willie Nelson at the Ryman. It was an iconic night of Ryman activity w/ a who's who of "Nashville Cats" as Willie's band.

Here is a photo from my shoot this past weekend with Backyard Tire Fire. I really feel like they are one of the most exciting things going on right now on the music scene. The addition of band friend Scott Tipping really turns up the excitement in their live sets, and Ed's song writing continues to become more and more iconic. They have the type of timeless staying power that will make their music fall in with the greats like Petty, Bruce and Davies. And their musical prowess is outstanding!

Going backward a bit to Next Big Nashville, here is a photo of the Black Diamond Heavies at the Next Big Nashville "Honkytonk Takeover." This was way cool as these shows were probably the only night that lower Broadway's honky tonks permeate the sounds of rock and roll!!!

Fall riding is the best. When the leaves are changing everything around you just pops. Also there are usually some grey, rainy ride days. Me and my buddy Jam Danver went to Montgomery Bell today and took some pics, experimented with his cable camera and got in a nice little ride. Here is a cool shot of Mr. Danver crossing a creek and being greeted by one of the friendly Middle Tennessee trail gnomes.

Well it is beautiful day and I am hemmed up with a bad back. Guess it isn't really all that bad. If I wasn't on the injured reserve for the day I would be working at REI. Using the downtime to work on some new images for the website. So look for new website content, soon! This is a killa lil layout if I do say so myself. Workin on showcasing some design elements this time around. So should have a good bit of pieces like this Freedom Fighters layout.

Sorry to have bailed on you all. I was in Colorado for the past week, and before that just plain old lazy! I shot a great show at Red Rocks this past Sat. but have not had an opportunity to process any of it. I will be posting some stuff from the Mountainside Mardi Gras soon. Had a great time rippin up Tanasi this past weekend. Sunday we did a nice ride that was a little over 14.5 miles and featured over 2500 ft of climbing. Which also meant about 2400 ft of comin down!

Here is a little something different from one of my favorite spots in North Carolina, Tsali. Western North Carolina is a mecca for good timing. There is great mountain biking all over the place. Pisgah, Tsali, Dupont and so much more. If you like to scale rocks there is tons of stellar climbs, and if you are slower paced in your enjoyment of the woods the hiking is great too. Asheville is ridiculous!!! And Phish is there this week. Anyway this is my buddy Dave turning G's thru one of the wrap around corners on the right Loop of the Tsali Trail System. Enjoi-
