A little slow this week. Crested Butte Gypsy Jazz Festival was an awesome experience. The Sunday Brunch show took place up on Mt. Crested Butte at Uley's Cabin. What a gorgeous place for a brunch jazz show. Amazing times in Crested Butte all summer long. One more trip coming this fall. Can't wait to ride thru the breathtaking Aspen groves ina few weeks-

Happy weekend!
I am headed back to Crested Butte tomorrow to work the Crested Butte Music Festival's Gypsy Jazz Fest, and rip some singletrack of course. Hopefully everyone has plans for a phun weekend. Get out there and live it up. Here is a shot of David Grisman and his Bluegrass Experience. This was from the Crested Butte Bluegrass in Paradise Festival earlier this summer-

Going back to this year's Bonnaroo I really loved the Infamous Stringdusters' set. They were the last installment of this blog, and since every time I have seen them this year they have been on fire. I find it only fitting to give them a couple rounds of love. Stringdusters and Bonnaroo, two summertime essentials-

So much to do, so little time.
This is a shot of fun. from Bonnaroo 2012. This year's ROO was perfect. Great sets by Radiohead, Phish, fun., The Cave Singers, Alabama Shakes and so much more. I really think the best sets of the weekend may have to go to GZA and Group Fantasmo doing Liquid Swords and ?uestlove's Super Jam featuring D'Angelo.

The Cave Singers are so awesome. I really enjoyed their Thursday night set this year at Bonnaroo. Night one this year was a great representation of how epic the weekend would be. Great sets from The Cave Singers, Moontaxi, Alabama Shakes, Phantogram, White Denim, Orgone, YelaWolf and Dale Earnhart Jr. Jr. made for a super fun start. The 2012 installment of Bonnaroo was indeed fabulous-

Lost and pretty much forgotten. I have simply neglected this blog for months now. I apologize to any and all who enjoy it. There is so much going on these days that it was easy to let it just slip away. However I am really excited about some of the great stuff I am getting to shoot, and want to share it with you all. So let's get this thing rolling again. Here is a shot from Bassnectar at Red Rocks. It was a super fun night of music, and really marked the begining of summer for me. I will have Bonnaroo, STS9 from Red Rocks, Telluride Bluegrass Fest and a ton more to share with you in the coming weeks-

Another Soulive moment
Well Snowlive has come and gone, and the band and a bunch of really cool special guests should be crushin Tahoe this week. Pickle, Sean, Dan I fully expect you boys to be in full effect! Two things I really enjoy when shooting, stealing conceptual multiple exposure ideas form my boi Michael Weintrob ( and you thought I never admitted that you are the inspiration) and shooting lens flares. Here is the masterful Kraz getting down-

Rubber Soulive night!
Photo of the Week 02/20/2012
Here I am apologizing again for mismanaging this blog. And this time around I have had ample goodness to share. Anyway Snowlive is going down in Boulder at the Fox Theatre this weekend. Soulive with/ Supercollider horns, Jen Hartswick, JJ Grey and surprise special guests Ian and Ivan Neville and Nickie Gilispie from Dumpstaphunk just let lose on the place with a monstrous Jesus Children of America. Even Stevie would have been blown away-

Man the musical journey continues. Returned from Jamcruise on Sunday, went and saw Brett Mosley that night. Was treated to a fabulous Garrett Sayers Trio set Wed. Caught the tour opener for Wilco Thurs., and have a night with George Porter Jr and the Running Partners and another with Big Gigantic ahead. Here is another magical moment from Jamcruise. You just simply can't beat a beach party with Toubab, Haitian dancers, clear water and all the sand you can dig-

Less than 24 hours to the party of the year kicks off, and I am stoked! Thursday night before I left for Ft Lauderdale I had the chance to go see some great music. Nice little warm up show with the Band of Heathens and Jason Isbell. In fact it was nice to see some great southern country rock n roll before launching out on a week of funky, jamming at sea. Here is a shot of Jason having a little pull-

Since I haven't posted anything in so long I will post again today. Railroad Earth played 3 nights in Denver at the Ogden Theater for NYE. On night 2 the band offered to play a special early acoustic show for fans who were willing to spring a little of that doe ray me for the holidays. The proceeds went to Rock the Earth. Founder Marc Ross was kind enough to have me out to the intimate performance to catch some of the action. It was a great opportunity to see some wonderful music. Thanks again Marc, Rock the Earth and Railroad Earth!

I'm BACK! Happy New Years. After a long sabbatical I am excited to jump head first back into the world of music. And just in time. Jam Cruise, Panic Wood Tour, Panic en La Playa, George Porter Jr and the Runnin Partners, Wilco, The Motet Best of Halloween, Big Gigantic, the first ever winter concert at Red Rocks w/ Atmosphere and Common are just around the corner.
Shorty! Who run it? Trombone Shorty and Orleans Ave blew up Denver's Bluebird Theater for 2 sold out nights. Look forward to seeing them again next week on Jam Cruise!
