What a great weekend! Orgone and The Motet were amazing at State Bridge. Weather, friends, bike rides, the river....everything was perfect. As we sat at Rancho waiting for game time to roll around the moon stuck its head out to see what was going on.

Another old freebie

This was such a monumental day for me. Having crew working passes for rem. at the Ryman may still be one of my fondest memories of the mother church. This is from rem.'s famous Ryman Auditorium stop in 2004.

More old freebies

Here is Dr. Evil, Dave Schools dropping bombs circa Red Rocks 2007-

In honor of all the fun I have had with the old Panic family in Colorado, here's a shot of JB at the Denver Fillmore during the first 4 night run to go down in D-town 2005.

Happy July everyone. Time flies when you are having phun. This past weekend was a good time. I went to Saturday and Sunday of the mighty Widespread Panic Red Rocks run. Saw lots of great friends, and shook when it felt good.

Here is a shot from a few weeks back when Umphrey's McGee took over Red Rocks and crushed the place.

Happy Thursday! Tomorrow is UMPHriday!

Hello all,

It is a gorgeous Thursday afternoon here along the front range. Tomorrow night Umphrey's tears up Red Rocks. Should be a phabulous evening!

Here is a shot of the lovely and talented Brittnay Howard and bassist Zac Cockrell of the Alabama Shakes. The band co headlined the best venue in the world this past Sunday with Ed Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes.

What a freakin weekend! Huge shows by some of my favorites. Dumpstaphunk led things off for me at the Lyons Outdoor Games. It was a free show, and worth all that and a whole lot more. Ivan and crew crushed the gorgeous evening, and got me all fired up for Saturday night's appointment with the London Souls and Lettuce. I have been diggin on the London Souls for years now, but haven't had the chance to catch a show till this past weekend. Very seldom do I find out about a band I love and not see them for years. It was worth the wait. Kraz sat in with the band the whole set, and it was nothing short of spectacular.

If I had to pick a favorite band it would be beyond difficult. I could tell you this it would be between The Motet and Lettuce. Fortunately I get to see lots of The Motet, so when Lettuce comes around it is the blockbuster hit for me. These guys really have more chops than any other musical collective. There is not a weak spot in the band. The "Let us play" crew blew the roof off of Cervante's (not surprised reports say they ripped the roof off Friday night as well).

Nigel Hall came out and whipped things into a frenzy with some amazing vocals.

This past weekend I saw some of the best Everyone Orchestra I have seen. It was true improv fun, and all the players were top notch. Some real front range class acts. Dave Watts, Jans Ingber, Kai Echkart, Bill McKay, Tanya Shylock, Bill Nershi, Anders Beck and Tom Carbone. And of course the creator behind the Everyone Orchestra and conductor, Matt Butler. They all brought A+ game, and it was a real treat-

Let's call it a May post

If you own a camera and aim to capture moments in time, you know how elusive they can be. I have shot Galactic off and on for over 12 years, and have seen Ben throw back his head and wail on his sax as many times as I have seen Stanton explode out of his seat to assault his drum kit. However I have never once been in the right spot to capture the 2 working it in the same frame. Jamcruise 11 finally delivered. My favorite Galactic shot, hope you like it too!

Whenever I feel up to it post

Hey cool kids, Spring time is nice! Snow has been falling like crazy in CO, there are great shows happening all over the map. I have been on the road non stop lately learning a new profession, and ocasionally visiting this one I started a long time ago. I haven't shot much lately. I am siting in the Columbus, OH airport, and some how the only images I have on the hard drive I have out is Bonnaroo 2012. So here is a few shots from one of my favorite festivals, and easily one of the smoothest year of its fabled history for me. This here is War on Drugs, The Punch Brothers and The Word-

I have been working hard in Idaho for the last week. This past weekend we blew off some steam with a great day on the mountain riding snowboards, and a real phun bike ride w/ Dakota dog leading the charge. Here is Kota and Dave blazing the trail.

How's this for mixed company? 4 Mile Fire Benefit in Broomfield, CO at the 1st Bank Center. What a wonderful night of music for such a great cause. Not to mention it was the intro night to a tasty Phish run-

I really enjoy Simon Lott's play. He is the drummer in Robert Walter's 20th Congress. That whole band is just so incredibly talented. Cheme is phenomenal on sax and flute, Stillwell on bass is lights out. And Robert Walter, he is certainly a virtuoso. I have been having so much fun shooting black and white. I really love the way the light illuminates off of Simon's cap. Anyway this is from RW's20thC at Cervantes.

Back on board the boat- Jam Cruise Eleven was so for real phun! I really can't compare the phun you have onboard to anything else. Truly it is its' own beast entirely. Steel Pulse had two phenomenal sets of music. This is from the pleasure portal known as the Pool Deck.

One more Throwback on this Thursday 01/24/2013

Snoop Dogg's set last year at SnowBall was a blast. He really moves the crowd. So much fun getting down with thousands of people on a cold snowy night in the mountains of Vail valley.

Here is a shot of the last Ween show I got to shoot. This was back in Nashville at the WAR Memorial Auditorium. That is such a fun room to see a show. Many great shows were caught there like YMSB, Umphrey's, Robert Earl Keen and Death Cab for Cutie.

Another X tra credit assignment 01/24/2013

Well I guess when I'm enjoying going thru work and sharing it I should run with it and make up for all those weeks in 2012 where I offered up nothing. This one goes out to my man Erick Anderson and his love of disco balls (miss ya buddy). Zappa plays Zappa from the Telluride Blues and Brews Festival in 2011.

Really excited to see these guys at SnowBall Music Festival in Winter Park, CO. This is STS9 from Red Rocks this past summer. They had such an amazing stage presence and sick show musically.

Well I apologize more than I post. Going to get this
piece up and running again. After all it is a new year. Jam Cruise continues to be the best party ever. Amazingly it is the time of your life and still manages to get better every year. March Forth Marching Band on the Pool Deck. A little refreshing rain to dance around in.
